Welcome to my story!
I'm Jason Geiman, and I'm excited to share the journey of how I started, grew, and ultimately sold my successful Christmas light installation business. My path to success in this industry wasn't straightforward, but it was filled with learning, perseverance, and a lot of hard work.
Early Career and Education
In high school, I attended a vocational school for auto mechanics, which earned me a full-ride scholarship to a college for auto diesel technology. While I struggled initially, I eventually excelled, graduating with honors. After college, I worked various jobs, including as a heavy equipment mechanic, which required extensive travel.
Transition to Entrepreneurship
My journey into entrepreneurship began when I became a firefighter and started a side business repairing fire trucks. Later, a fellow firefighter introduced me to the pressure washing business, and I decided to give it a try. With a small investment, I started ProServe Pressure Washing in 2012. As the business grew, I expanded into Christmas light installations in 2013.
Growth and Success
My passion for creating beautiful holiday displays and my dedication to excellent customer service helped my business thrive. By investing in professional development and learning from industry experts, I was able to command premium pricing and grow my business significantly. By 2017, my business was generating over $1 million in annual revenue.
Family and Community Involvement
I'm married to my wonderful wife, and together we have two beautiful daughters. Family is at the core of everything I do, and their support has been invaluable throughout my journey. In addition to my business ventures, I am proud to serve as the Captain of the Boone County Water Rescue team, a role that allows me to give back to my community in meaningful ways.
Giving Back and Teaching Others
In 2018, I sold my business but continued to work with the new owners for a while. Now, I focus on empowering others to achieve their entrepreneurial dreams. Through my training programs at ChristmasLights.io, I help people start and grow their own successful Christmas light installation and pressure washing businesses.
My Philosophy
I believe in the power of hard work, continuous learning, and perseverance. My goal is to help a thousand people make $100,000 a year because I know firsthand how transformative that can be. I teach my students the importance of providing exceptional customer service, setting high standards, and always striving for excellence.
